Be prepared to be disappointed. Employees act like youβre incoming them. Also be prepared to be told you didnβt order a drink even though you paid for it.

Walked here from the Sugar Mynt gallery and wanted some coffee to go for the drive home. Customer service was super nice! We ordered: mango lemonade, a hibiscus drink with tajin rim and an iced horchata de olla latte. All our drinks were super delicious! I enjoyed the horchata de olla latte so much that I would totally come back for this drink. The refresher drinks were very tasty! They also had some pan dulce that looked fresh, next time Iβll have to try that out! I love the decor and it was a very clean looking shop! Definitely worth coming back!

While in South Pasadena visiting family for my wifeβs birthday, we were advised to visit La Monorca . It was a great suggestion and were pleasantly impressed with the quality and taste of the cake. It was one of the best cakes we have had !!!! The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful in picking out options.

Stopped in during my LA stay, and the energy of the staff and the vibe of space were on point. It is a bit small so if it was a busy time I can see how some people get annoyed/frustrated. I had the Cafe Carmen and the Cafe Oaxaca and they were both so delicious! We also had the molletes and they were pretty good. For drinks itβs a 5/5, the options and the taste are better than any chain in the area. The food can definitely be a bit fine tuned. Maybe if I had at it right away it would have been better but 7 minutes after it was cold and the cheese had hardened. I recommend this as itβs quick and easy to get to with plenty of parking around the areas.

Stopped by La Monarca Bakery in Pasadena yesterday for a quick afternoon treat with the family. This charming Mexican bakery offers a welcoming atmosphere and a colorful display of traditional pan dulce that immediately catches your eye when you walk in. The kids were instantly drawn to the conchas (Mexican sweet bread rolls with the distinctive shell pattern on top). They got one and absolutely loved it! The bread was soft and fresh with just the right amount of sweetness, and the crumbly topping had that perfect texture that crumbles just enough without making a mess. Seeing their smiles with sugar-coated lips was worth the visit alone. For the adults, there was the cafΓ© de olla (traditional Mexican coffee with cinnamon) which had a pleasant scent. We could have also sampled other pastries - the orejas (palmiers) looked deliciously flaky, and the empanadas de guayaba had a nice balance of sweet filling without seeming overpowering. The service was friendly enough, though a bit rushed during the street fair crowd. Prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting - definitely more authentic than what you'd find at chain coffee shops attempting Mexican pastries. What keeps
